Fourth friday again already, seems like we just had one of these. I’ll be in Studio #14 on the third floor so if your out and about, stop on by. I’ll be working away on the painting shown below. I’ve been working on this painting between camping trips and motorcycle rides for the past month or so. It’s the first painting in a while that I have really struggled with, it goes like that sometimes. I’ve been pretty successful and productive in the studio over the last couple of years but I seem to have hit a bit of a wall. Time to step back and think about what I’m doing, concentrate more on the basics, value studies before painting are important and I havent been doing that so its a wake up call. I’m still fussing with it but I think I’m getting it figured out so feel free to stop on by and take a look.
My lovely wife Nancy was invited to Matzke Gallery for the annual Summer Show and sold the following painting at the opening reception, I’m very proud of her well deserved recognition.
